Summary

Waste Wolf (in Estonian Prügihunt) is the City of Tallinn’s waste awareness campaign, which was organized since 2003. The waste awareness mascot also bears the same name. The goal of the campaign is to make the behaviour of the residents of Tallinn more environmentally friendly. Public events, competitions, information seminars and public surveys are carried out within the framework of the waste awareness campaign, and excursions to landfills and waste stations are organized.

Summary

The objective of the Regional Programme for a Circular Economy (Programme Régional d’Economie circulaire – PREC) is to encourage the transformation of the linear economy into a circular economy, developing a strategic and operational vision of the environment as a resource creating local employment. Summary

Through the project LOWaste (Local waste market for second life products), Ferrara is experiencing a pattern of circular economy based on waste prevention, products reuse and material recycling supported by a public-private partnership framework. Starting from some pilot studies and tests, the project laid down the foundation for – and has seen the emergence of – a genuine local circular economy district with a focus on waste management in a circular economy.
