Governance, procurement, and monitoring are the focus of the three newly launched ACR+ working groups on circular economy.

These working groups will bring together front-runners and learners among ACR+ members to work on improving local and regional strategies on circular economy and resource efficiency.

Each of the working groups will focus on one specific topic:

  • Governance: a territorial approach of circular economy requires different types of governance, enabling the development of efficient strategies and facilitating the involvement of the various kinds of stakeholders that can contribute to the transition to circular economy.
  • Procurement: circular public procurement has the potential for stimulating the development or upscaling of more circular solutions.
  • Monitoring: circular economy indicators adapted to cities and regions are essential to monitor the effectiveness of circular economy strategies.
