Summary

Oosterwold is an area of 4,300 hectares to the east of Almere, with space for 15,000 new habitations while still maintaining its green and agriculutural character. The municipalities of Zeewolde and Almere, who together govern the area, have decided to leave the development of this area entirely to private citizen’s initiative.
