Summary
Since 2009 the City of Gothenburg has promoted a better land use oriented at food production, through organic and urban agriculture.
The municipality developed many activities in 5 focus areas: food production, food consumption, food deliveries and logistics, resource efficiency nutrient circulation and water for food. Specific attention is paid to capitalising on Gothenburg’s large availability of unused land, turning it into a resource for local and organic food production.
