Summary

Combining civic amenity sites with reuse is one of the possibilities to increase the collected quantities for re-use. This has been done for many years in the Alelyckan Reuse Park in Gothenburg (Sweden), where inhabitants are invited to donate the products they bring before disposing of them in the different recycling containers. The originality of this reuse park is to include a thrift shop, a workshop for renovating furniture and bicycles, and a store for used building materials like windows, closets, tiles, etc. in addition to a traditional civic amenity site. About 5% of the brought items are reused.
