Summary
In order to prevent food waste, the Azienda Multiservizi Igiene Ambientale Torino (AMIAT) collects edibles food (cheese, meat, etc.) from the supermarket Auchan and edible bread and fruit from 120 Turin school canteens (representing 31000 meals/day). All the food collected is delivered to 7 city aid agency canteens for the preparation of the meals.
